	This plate reinforces your input shaft bearing in the getrag 6 speeds found in Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4's and Dodge Stealth R/T Turbo models. When you start making over 400 awhp through a 6 speed you have a tendancy to split the casing down the middle. Basically the gears want to shift inside the casing from high torque. After a while this stresses the casing out and it will split in half. Most of the pressure is on the input shaft of the trans and on the bearing for that shaft. So, in order to keep the casing from splitting in half it is necessary to reinforce the area around that shaft/bearing. So, that's where this plate comes into play. It thickens the area around that bearing and supports it to multiple points in the casing when it's welded in.
